AI Researcher & PhD Student | Computer Scientist & Electronics Engineer
Specializing in Deep Learning, Transformers, and their application in Wireless Communications
I am a PhD student at Koรง University in Istanbul working on AI applications in Wireless Communications, advised by Professor Sinem Coleri (IEEE Fellow). I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabanci University (with high honors), with a minor in Physics.
My research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and wireless communications. I've contributed to cutting-edge research on LLM agents, mechanistic interpretability, and FET modeling, resulting in publications at top-tier venues including ICML and SMACD and IEEE OJCOMS.
Before returning to academia, I spent several years as an AI Product Manager, where I led teams to develop innovative AI-driven products that reached thousands of users. This unique combination of research depth and industry experience allows me to bridge theoretical advancements with practical applications.

Developing CORTEX, a transformer-based beam selection system for terahertz (THz) UAV communications. The architecture combines convolutional front-ends with causal transformers using rotary position embeddings (RoPE) for drone state prediction. Key techniques include a two-stage approach for angle prediction and beam selection, circular-aware angle refinement, knowledge distillation, and focal loss for class imbalance. Paper accepted to the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society.

Research focuses on security evaluation and attack development for state-of-the-art time-series models. Implemented and extended two recent approaches: (1) input-aware poisoning attacks that craft sample-specific triggers, and (2) generative-model based trigger synthesis (GAN/conditional generative models) to produce stealthy backdoors against RNNs, LSTMs and transformer-based time- series classifiers. Conducted threat-model design, empirical evaluations on standard benchmarks, and initial defenses/mitigations.
